1. The user will do their best to aid the service maintainer. In particular, they will update the email address as registered at the service's database to reflect a real address that does not bounce. If the said address becomes inactive for any reason, the user will delete their database entry. The user will take steps to prevent automatic replies to the service messages (such as those created by vacation programs or off-line notification services).
  2. The service maintainer reserves the right to delete any user from the database for any reason they see fit. An email notice will be sent to the user in such a case, but no special effort will be made to ensure the delivery of this message.
  3. No warranty, expressed or implied, is offered on this service. The user accepts full responsibility in using this service and agrees that the service maintainer is free from any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from malfunction of the software for any reason.
  4. The contents of the database will not be conveyed to an external party, except when required by state or other governing law or regulations. The use of the email addresses by the service maintainer will be restricted to notification of users with regard to book-loans, and to system-related messages.
  5. An exception to item No. 4 is the investigation of possible security breaches or other malicious activities suspected by the service maintainer. In the event that suspicion of such activity arises, the service maintainer may hand any logs, database entries, email correspondence, or any other information that may aid such an investigation to law-enforcing officials or other parties who may have been affected by these activities.
