The libagent service has ceased to exist. We are no longer renewing books, nor are we subscribing users. This started in early June 2009, when our service provider (server pronto) pulled the plug on us with no notice, prior or otherwise. We scrambled, first to restore service with them, then to provision an alternative server. We are now (late June) back online, but the database is not restored.
Given the declining user acquisition rates, and the limited utility of the service as most libraries now provide a comparable built-in service, it was decided not to put in the effort to fully restore the site.
I will add more information to this page over time. If you have specific questions please send them to libagent@libagent.org. Thanks to all the users, volunteers, librarians and helpers we met along the way. These past 13 years were terrific!
